The year 2021 has been a healing phase for the world from the COVID-19 pandemic. The people had to go through many lockdowns, curfews,and isolation which hindered people from going out which also meant that people did not have access to theatres. Movie lovers who preferred theatres were deprived as they could not have access to theatres. The movie industry also faced a lot of issues during a pandemic. The inability of physical outdoor shooting, restrictions oncrowds, and expensive safety procedures made it difficult for film shooting. Filmmakers tried new and enhanced to bring back the magic of cinema to their audience.
Many movies had decided decides and went on with OTT releases. Many OTT releases were huge successes on the platform which was released. This generated huge revenue for both the OTT platform and movie makers.
As the lockdowns were slowly lifted, Movie theatres were allowed to function partially. There were so many highest-grossing releases that were overlapping at this time.
